Sea Dog Brewing Company – Scarborough. When Famous Dave’s BBQ went belly up, it took awhile for someone to come in to fill the space. Located right in the frontyard of Cabela’s is one of the Shipyard family of beers.
Hours: Mon – Fri 11:00 – 11:00, Sat&Sun 10:00 – 11:00
Nonesuch River Brewing is the jewel of Scarborough. This destination spot is known as much for its food as the beer they brew. Housed in a stunning building, you’ll want to make sure you visit here even if you aren’t on a full beercation. Walking into the beautiful building will take your breath away.
Hours: Sun-Thu 11:30 – 9:00, Fri-Sat 11:30 – 10:00
A short drive up the road from Nonesuch is Sebago Brewing Company’s Scarborough Location. Sebago always has a great selection of beers that are brewed in the next town over in Gorham. Conveniently located by the entrance to the highway, you’ll want to sample a flight here before moving on. Try the soft pretzel.
Hours: Sun-Mon 11:00 – 9:00, Tue-Thu 11:00 – 10:00, Fri-Sat 11:00 – 11:00
In what used to be the Fore River Brewing location is now Modest Man of Maine. The good thing is that this “replacement” brewery is as good or better then what came before it. You’re going to want to use the Google Map Location link for this brewery to help you find it. It’s not hard to find, but it’s not intuitive either.
Hours: Tue-Thu 2:00 – 8:00, Fri-Sun 12:00 – 8:00
Bunker Brewing has a real comfortable feel. Their patio picnic tables will give you a nice sun tan on a warm day or you can move inside. They’re always spinning some vinyl to go along with their beers. They are known for their Pilz and nitro selections.
Hours: Tue 2:00 – 9:00, W-Thu 2:00 – 8:00, F 12:00 – 9:00, Sat-Sun 12:00 – 8:00
We hope you’ve paced yourself and are ready to top this special beercation off with one of the most famous breweries in Maine.
