Honestly, Austin Street is this -descript side street in a residential neighborhood that does not relate to this brewery. It’s a good thing too because it is one of the most popular tasting rooms in Portland and the poor people on Austin Street would have their minds blown if a bunch of beer tourists showed up there. Maybe they do and the citizens chase them away with directions here. Hours: Mon-Sat 12:00 – 8:00, Sun 12:00 – 6:00 The Rising Tide Brewing Company is another legacy brewing company in Portland. It is one of the must see tasting rooms and always has a nice sized crowd. There usually is a food truck in the front yard of the tasting room. Widely distributed, you probably have seen their cans on the shelves of your local beer store. Try a flight from the taps for some varieties that might not be available in retail locations. Hours: Mon-Sat 12:00 – 8:00, Sun 12:00 – 6:00 Wanna try something different? Orange Bike Brewing Company is Maine’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery. The styles of beer they offer are familiar and the alcohol by volume levels are low so you can enjoy a flight with very little impact. Let us know what you think after trying it. Take a chance. They do have a gin option, but that is not their target audience. Just a short stroll over from your last experience to try one of their cocktails. Arrrrgggghhhhh matey! Hours: Thu-Fri 3:00 – 9:00, Sat 12:00 – 9:00, Sun 12:00 – 6:00 When we hear the word Apres, we think of skiing. Well this isn’t a ski area. It’s cidery and seltzery if that’s a word. Their naturally calorie-light hard seltzer and gluten-free hard cider call out to the adventurous, inquisitive drinker who cares about fresh ingredients and sustainable living or so they say. This sounds like a great stop on a hot day. Hours: Tue-Thu 3:00 – 9:00, Fri-Sat 12:00 – 10:00, Sun 12:00 – 9:00 We struggled to come up with something pithy to say about Belleflower Brewing Company but struck out. Needless to say, it is a very very nice tasting room and you will be very impressed with their offerings. This tasting room will be the conclusion of today’s beercation but as we said above, you might want to curate your own path through East Bayside by combining this beercation with East Bayside Two beercation. They offers a variety of local and away beers, as well as their own Zoo beers. They also have a community environment revolving around beer food music and soccer.
