Belleflower isn’t a made-up word chosen because it sounded pretty on a can. It’s named after co-owner Nick’s family farm, where for roughly 200 years a “Belleflower” apple tree stood as a gathering spot for generations of family and friends. When the tree eventually fell, its trunk was repurposed as a decorative beam in the family barn — a small, stubborn symbol of New England grit and ingenuity that still stands. Even the brewery’s logo nods to this history: it’s a modern take on a farm hex sign that hangs above that same barn, a piece of folk art traditionally believed to ward off bad luck.
The brewery is co-owned by four people — Zach, Nick, Melissa, and Katie — and it’s genuinely family-operated and female-owned, values you can feel the moment you walk in.

Opened in March 2021, Belleflower specializes in small-batch beers with a particular knack for hoppy styles, though the lineup ranges well beyond IPAs — think crisp lagers, fruity sours, and complex stouts, alongside frequent special releases and collaborations. The rotating tap list means there’s almost always something new to try, and the brewery earned real recognition for it, having been named “Best Brewery of 2023” by Hop Culture Magazine.
